We wanted to send you a quick update on our little Chewie puppy! Can’t believe we have had this little guy for a year now. He has lost almost all of his dark fur color and is now our blonde Chewbacca who we love so much! He had maxed out at 8.6lbs and has so much energy when he is ready to play. Chewie is very laid back and enjoys being cuddled up next to us. He was able to be trained very fast but definitely has a stubborn streak where he thinks he is boss. Haha

Thanks again for letting us adopt this little guy into our family! Happy 4th.

Hope you have been well! It’s been quite a while but I wanted to reach out to share an update on Monty ☺️

We cannot believe it’s been over two years since we met our little man. He’s the love of our lives and continues to be the most playful, sassy, and loving boy. This past week we went to a corgi race and he placed 2nd! He’s a very active runner and loves being social with big dogs! Just wanted to reach out to say thank you for breeding such a wonderful puppy and helping to bring him into our lives!

I hope all is well. I just wanted to give you an update on our shih tzu puppy we adopted from you in April.  We ended up naming our little guy Archibald (Archie for short). Archie turned 8 months old a few days ago and is the best puppy ever!  He has become best friends with his older shih tzu brother Stewie. He is very intelligent, spunky, and full of personality.  Some of his favorite things to do include swimming, playing fetch and going on car rides. We can't thank you enough for the opportunity to adopt him.  He has been the perfect addition to our family!

I wanted to say “hello” and share with you how much we fell head-over-heals in Love with our corgi girls, born January 14, 2018! Sandi (red) and Cali (tri) are the lights of our lives we can’t imagine what life was without them.  So happy we chose to take both of them!!!  Sandi and Cali adore their older siblings (yellow labs) and are friendly to all people they meet.

We have all settled into our farm in western Iowa.  The Corgis have been amazing.

Hope to talk to you soon as we’re interested in “adopting” more Corgis into our family.

Hi Marilyn,

Duchess is a little over six months old and is everything that I'd hoped she would be. She's a beautiful corgi with a wonderful temperament. She is energetic and strong willed and the star of our local dog park. Duchess also gets along wonderfully with dogs and children. 

So far, she has held her markings. Also, she has a trim waist and has a very long back. I would estimate it is roughly 18 inches from shoulder to rump. Overall, she's a beautiful dog.

To prospective buyers, I had the pleasure of meeting Marilyn and visiting her kennels. It's a wonderful operation where I can assure you the puppies are lovingly cared for. 

I will definitely be back for another corgi in a year or two. Thanks again Marilyn for our beloved new family member.

Our little Cooper is 6 months old today! He’s just the best little puppy, and a cute, wild ball of energy. Everyone who meets him loves him, and he’s definitely the center of attention everywhere we go. He’s super curious & brave, and he has the best personality. He loves playing with other dogs, peanut butter, sticks, looking out the window, and licking our faces. We are so happy he is the puppy we chose. I just  wanted to give you a little update on our shih tzu Duke. We bought him from you in July of 2015 and he will be turning 3 in May! He has been the best dog we could have ever asked for. We have an older shih tzu too and Duke and him get along great! We are so thankful for such a great family dog!!

I was flipping through puppy pics this weekend and wanted to send you a few. Winston is thriving in Chicago. He loves playing with a few of the neighborhood dogs and has been tolerating the heat pretty well.

We're still working on his barking, but overall the training has been going well.

Hi Marilyn,

I figured I'd get in touch and give you a quick update on the puppy we took home back in the beginning of August.

Stanley has become the best part of our lives and we are forever thankful to have such a perfect pup! He LOVES other dogs and people, and tends to be the center of attention anywhere we go. I can't believe that Bella will be 1yr old tomorrow.

She gets along with all dogs, children, people, and is so sweet she couldn’t hurt a fly. She loves going on adventures and napping under bed. I have and would recommended you to anyone who asks where I received a corgi. Kiwi is completely laid back and loves to hang out, and everyone adores her. Hi Marilyn!

Just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how our little Charlotte is doing. She is such a sweetheart and so active. She loves to play frisbee and her and our male dog Cricket are best pals, lol! They play and wrestle and run together constantly! We did end up having her spayed. We decided that we did not want the responsibility of lots of babies with our busy schedules but we are so happy she is part of our family. As you can see she has lightened up just a bit but still has those cute little eyebrows, lol!! She is spoiled rotten!! Loves frozen vegetables, yogurt, blueberries and watermelon and of course Ice cream!!! We take them everywhere with us. Just thought you would like to see how beautiful she is growing up to be! We can't believe that she is almost one already!

Hi Marilyn,

Just wanted to let you know Oakley adapted so easily and everyone loves her. My grandparents love her so much that they try to claim her on a daily basis! She is very happy, full of energy and is so smart! She already knows how to come, sit, lay down, roll over and recently learned how to shake. She loves going to the Lake of the Ozarks and playing with kids and swimming. I couldn't imagine life without her! Just wanted to give you an update! Thanks again for everything!

Its been one year since we got our Joppa from you.  Its been such a joy being puppy parents.  We wanted to say thank you for bringing our little furry bundle of joy into our lives.  We hope your last year has been a good one.  Joppa is very loving and intelligent, learning to follow commands and ring a bell to go potty outside.  She loves peanut butter and ice cubes.  She is very adventurous and loves to go for walks and meet new people/friends.  She has several best friends and enjoys going on car rides to visit them.  We can't thank you enough for the work that you do.  She is truly a blessing to us.

Fall Greetings!

It's hard to believe a year has come and gone. Our sweet teddy bear, Tags, has turned a year today! We just want to let you know that he has been such a wonderful and funny addition to our family. We have nicknamed him "Waggsie Bear" because his tail never stops wagging! He loves people, going for walks, and chasing squirrels. Hope all is well with you!

Just wanted to update you on our TeddyBear puppy Zoey that we bought from you almost a year ago.  We absolutely are in love with this little girl, she is such a happy, entertaining puppy and has brought so much love to our home!

Getting our 3 daughters a dog was by far the best decision we made as parents, as they know unconditional love!  She was extremely easy to house train and has become part of our family!  And from a very hesitant husband of buying a dog he just may love her the most!

Just wanted to let you know that Puddles is just a sweetie. He has a wonderful personality and is great with the grandkids. 

The vet can't get over how calm, relaxed he is and the groomer said that Puddles is the best puppy she has ever groomed. He is about 4 pounds, still has his beautiful coloring. We are doing well with potty training. He loves his kennel at night and does well in his play pen when we are gone for while. I want to thank you so much for blessing us with him. He is a perfect addition to our family.

Hi Marilyn – this is long overdue, but I just wanted to thank you for the best addition to our family, Goodness (the blond one)  and Gracious (the chocolate one) – or Goodie and Gracie – Matilda’s little girls.  They are adorable, as you can see by their pictures.  Not only are they affectionate and funny, the girls have such a sweet disposition and so friendly.  We take every opportunity to have them visit with people, and our vet and her staff just loves them!  I can’t thank you enough for them – we are truly having a great time with them!

I just want to say thank you again for my wonderful puppies, I am so glad I came upon your website when I was looking for a pup. It has been almost 3 three years ago that I purchased Gunther from you and now I have 4 of your puppies. They are the sweetest and most loving dogs I have owned, I never thought I would want a little dog until I found the Shih Tzu, they are the best dog ever. For anyone thinking about getting a pup from Marilyn, I can say you will not be disappointed, she raises wonderful dogs and since I got Gunther 3 three years ago and 3 more since then Jake, Khaleesi and Max, anytime I have a question she has always been more than helpful with an answer.

Hi Marilyn!

Haven't talked to you in awhile so I thought I'd send a picture of the pups! Ava is the dark one, and Archie is light. Ava is about 9 pounds now. We call her peanut. And Archibald is pushing 14. He's a big boy! We love them like crazy. They're extremely spoiled! I couldn't imagine one without the other. They are complete opposites but they get along great. Ava is more of the "speaker" she is more independent and likes to explore. Archie is very laid back and loves to cuddle. He depends on Ava to tell us when he has to potty or when he's thirsty or hungry... Neither of them bark! I don't know if that is common with shih tzus or maybe because there is two of them. I'm not complaining though! I couldn't have asked for better pups. I still cannot thank you enough for them!

Hi Marilyn,

Just wanted to send a quick hello because Pants just had his birthday yesterday 2/26...He is 2 years old.  We thought we would send a quick update. Pants is doing great!  He loves the snow and love might even be a  understatement.  We think he’s in a committed relationship with the snow because regardless of how cold it is he must be outside either eating it, playing in it or laying in it regardless of how his parents feel about the snow.  This fall he also become  our little hiker, he did great which we were pleasantly surprised with him, and everyone who passed us on the hike was also pretty impressed with his little legs he could go hiking.   He loves the dog park and making new friends, he is known as the social butterfly at daycare.  Apparently he wants everyone to be playing at all times, no rest for the wicked! He is super spoiled, has so many toys and treats but of course he prefers the loud squeaky one at 6am to play with. 

Tyler and I just really wanted to thank you for letting us take Pants home with us back in May 2013.  He has made a crazy/amazing addition to our family and we are so thankful for him everyday.  He has such a personality and everyone who meets him just falls in love with him.  Thank you so much again Marilyn. Pants has definitely changed our life for the better!

Buster brings such joy to our family I would recommend Big Cedar Puppies to anyone looking for a very well bred, sweet and smart shih tzu puppy! My husband, who never wanted an inside dog, is so in love with Buster we all can't believe it! We are so glad we gave the gift of "love" for christmas!
